Trans* rights are human rights! 28. June 202328. June 2023 Today on Stonewall Riot Memorial Day, we remember the brave people who fought for queer, women’s and human rights. ✊🏳️⚧️🏳️🌈 In particular, we would like to highlight the role of trans people who have fought and struggled tirelessly in every fight for equality and acceptance. Their contributions have been crucial and must not be forgotten. Let’s tell their stories, hear their voices loud and clear, and carry on their legacy. Fifty-four years ago, on June 28, 1969, an uprising occurred on Christopher Street in New York City that continues to shape us today. The protests around the Stonewall Inn were a cornerstone of the struggle for queer people’s freedom. In solidarity, we continue to work to create a world where all people are equal and respected.
