On October 7, at the start of the Jewish festival Simchat Torah (Joy of the Torah), 50 years after the beginning of the Yom Kippur War, Israel was attacked in a brutal and barbaric manner. The victims, the images and reports shake us to the core. We are in shock and stand in solidarity with those affected. We condemn the terror of Hamas, its allies and backers in the strongest possible terms. Together we send a signal of our solidarity. Our support and friendship go to the Israeli civilian population and all victims of Hamas terror.
