January 2024 At its closed meeting in Dessau-Roßlau yesterday, Saturday, the state executive committee of Alliance 90/The Greens Saxony-Anhalt passed a resolution dealing with the plans for deportation that have come to light in connection with a secret meeting of far-right forces in Potsdam, which was also attended by the AfD parliamentary group leader from Saxony-Anhalt, Ulrich Siegmund. With this resolution, the state executive committee supports the SPD in its plan to remove Siegmund from his position as chairman of the Social Affairs Committee in the Saxony-Anhalt state parliament. Furthermore, the state executive committee supports the “intensive examination of a ban procedure for the AfD by the responsible constitutional bodies”. An AfD ban procedure must now be examined by the relevant constitutional institutions!
